TAREK Abed was Auchinleck Talbot's man of the hour yet again as Tommy Sloan's side left it late to recue a point against Benburb.
The Beechwood Park outfit fell behind after just four minutes, with Sallu Turay putting the visitors ahead in the West of Scotland Football League Premier Division clash.
Despite piling on the pressure, Talbot remained behind until the 91st minute - when Abed popped up to head home the leveller to earn his side a point.
It is the second time this season the attacker has notched a vital late goal having previously scored an 89th minute winner against Cumnock Juniors.
However, Auchinleck assistant boss Allan McLuckie still cut a frustrated figure following the match - brandishing the performance as "way below" the expected standard.
Speaking to the club's social media team, he said: “I’m very frustrated. We lost a poor goal from a set play which was disappointing.
“The performance levels were way below what we are expecting here. The players are aware of that.
“It was a bad day, we didn’t play to our strengths, we conceded a poor goal and second half we had three or four chances and couldn’t capitalise on them.”
However, McLuckie was looked to take some positives from seeing his side battle to earn a point - after a much improved second half showing.
He continued: “We had a lot of possession first half without really cutting them open but the second half we made the changes and were more positive.
“We kept in there, hung in, and got the equaliser late on but a point at home – we should be doing much better.
“We’ll go in this week, work hard, prepare and get ready for next weekend.”
Next up for Auchinleck is a home league clash against Gartcairn on Saturday, November 9, with kick off at 2pm.
