MUIRKIRK Juniors' remarkable start to the league season is still going strong.
The Kirk made it seven wins from seven in the West of Scotland Football League Second Division on Saturday with an impressive 6-2 victory away to St Anthony's.
A Daryl Airdrie hat-trick alongside goals from William Dawson, Alan Semple and Gerard Burns earned Ross Cusick's side yet another three points.
The East Ayrshire outfit looked to be in cruise control early in the match after Airdrie's first two goals gave Ross Cusick's men a 2-0 lead inside 27 minutes.
But two goals in just five minutes from the home side saw all of Kirk's early hard work undone.
However, Dawson's strike saw Muirkirk regain the lead heading into half-time, before an outstanding second half showing saw the game killed off by the 70th minute.
With a perfect 21 points from their matches thus far, the Burnside Park club now boast a six point lead atop the Second Division table.
The Kirk will now have their sights set on making it eight on the spin when they host Forth Wanderers on Saturday, September 7, at 2pm.
After that, it's a break from league action for a pair of cup fixtures, with trips to face Kilwinning Rangers in the South of Scotland Challenge Cup on September 14, and Banks o' Dee in the Scottish Junior Cup on September 21.
