MAUCHLINE AFC had plenty to celebrate on Saturday, May 4, as they wrapped up league title glory.
The East Ayrshire amateur side were officially crowned Division Two champions with a game to spare after defeating their nearest challengers at the weekend.
Having both already secured promotion to Division One next season, it was between Mauchline and Beith to see who would be promoted as champions.
Mauchline were in the driving seat heading into Saturday and knew avoiding defeat would be enough to secure the title with a game to spare.
But they went one better than that, and goals from Murray Johnston, Scott Davidson and Marc Dyer handed the East Ayrshire side a 3-1 victory.
A club spokesperson said: "Thanks for the amazing support we have had from sponsors and supporters alike, you are very much part of our success"
It was the latest impressive result in what has been a remarkable season for Mauchline.
Having played 21 of their 22 fixtures, the team have won 19 times, drawing once and losing only a solitary game.
They will round their season off on Thursday, May 9, when they travel to face Crosshill at 7pm.
