Muirkirk Juniors manager Kevin Muirhead is keen for his side to kick on in their final games and seal their spot in the Second Division.
The Kirk were in West of Scotland Football League (WoSFL) Conference A at the weekend and picked up a valuable point to aid their promotion battle.
They drew 2-2 with Craigmark Burntonians at Burnside Park to edge an inch closer towards their Second Division dream.
Muirkirk currently sit 10th in the standings and could be promoted if they maintain their position in the table.
However, they would be relying on results working out in their favour to finish as either the first or second best 10th placed side across the WoSFL.
They could decide their own fate if they can improve on their current position and finish ninth in the league.
Speaking to the Chronicle, Muirhead said: “It was a good point in terms of getting us up a division for next season.
“I think one win would get us over the line in terms of the best placed 10th team.
“However, with the games we have in hand, we want to jump Glasgow University, finish ninth and not rely on maths.”
