FORMER Scottish Junior Cup winners Glenafton Athletic could be tempted to sign up for the proposed new West of Scotland League.
The McBookie Premiership club issued a statement following their meeting last night in which they admitted options were being considered.
Chairman John Stewart said: "A couple of years ago the SJFA fully backed the concept of junior clubs enrolling into the SFA pyramid system but negotiations have broken down between both parties involved.
"Our club would prefer to remain within the existing SJFA West league structure, we can confirm that we will support the SJFA to find a suitable solution to resolve this matter
In the meantime we have addressed our “ expression of interest “ for the proposed Scottish Lowland West of Scotland League at Tier 6 in the pyramid.
"We will keep all our members and fans updated."
