TEAMS of youngsters turned out for a great day of rugby at Broomfield.
A bright sunny day welcomed the pupils of Cumnock schools to Broomfield park.
The pupils were down for a rugby festival which was on the back of rugby sessions in the schools.
There was both a boys and girls competition that ran on the day. The key aim was for the kids to have a bucket load of fun and show their skills.
The day began and the kids had to get used to playing rugby on a bigger pitch new rule set.
As the day went on the improvement was outstanding and they began to show some slick skills and scored some fantastic tries.
Every team played well and showed some great improvement.
Greenmill Primary schooled emerged as the girls winners, going undefeated in their six games and showed some real determination to get the results. New Cunock Primary were top of the pile in the boys competition to land the trophy. Their quick and pacey game proved to be too much for the opposition.
