Melvin Odoom is a name you might only recognise from Radio 1 or from joining the latest series of ITV's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!

So far on the reality show, Melvin has kept fellow campmates up in the early hours with his snoring and brought some treats back to the camp after competing in a Deals on Wheels task.

But, before I'm A Celebrity or Radio 1, the British star has had a long career, appearing in children's TV shows before making his way to radio.

Specifically one huge TV show that some suggest helped bring up a generation and give them the humour they now have.

How did Melvin Odoom become famous?

Melvin began his career on the CBBC show Dick and Dom in Da Bungalow alongside Richard McCourt and Dominic Wood.

Dick and Dom aired from 2002 until 2006 and saw all types of antics with children appearing on the show and taking part in funny tasks.

Best known for their game of 'bogies', where the two hosts would shout the phrase as loud as they could in a public space without getting caught, Dick and Dom in Da Bungalow became a big hit of the noughties.

As part of the show, Melvin would play characters, host games and take part in jokes and gags.

After beginning his career on Dick and Dom in Da Bungalow, Melvin appeared in the CBBC show The Slammer, Sweat the Small Stuff, Basil's Swap Shop, Celeb Cooking School, Lego Masters and more.

He later joined Rickie Haywood and Charlie Hedges, becoming a DJ and joining BBC Radio 1 hosting a daily late morning show together.
