PLANS have been lodged to create a new glamping site on the outskirts of Cumnock.
Pine Developments have submitted the proposals to East Ayrshire Council's planning department to build the pods, as well as an associated reception and tent pitches.
If approved, the site would be located at a cross section near Glaisnock Road and Benston Smithy.
The application documents do not yet detail how many pods are planned.
The grand development is set to include a mixture of two and three-bedroom lodges, glamping pods and areas to pitch tents.
Also included will be a reception area with a café, shop and laundry area.
A total of 24 parking spaces would be included within the site boundary, if proposals are granted.
A decision on the plans is set to be made in January, with the full submission available to view on the council's planning portal, by searching application 24/0449/PP.
