FESTIVE cheer returned to Cumnock as the famous Holmburn Road Christmas lights were switched on once again.
Alex and Jackie Weir have decked out their home in a stunning display of lights for the best past of two decades, drawing in people from right across the country to see the dazzling set-up.
Every year, they take on donations which will be offered to a charity or good cause in the area, once the lights are turned off in January.
The Weirs managed to make the display even more magical than the year before, with another huge crowd turning up at the house on Friday evening (November 29).
Santa and the Grinch met the local kids, as snow filled the air.
It's an event that people in Cumnock and the surrounding areas look forward to each year.
"People make the event as special for us as we do for them," Jackie said.
"It wouldn't be as big a spectacle and as brilliant an evening if it wasn't for the huge crowds of people and kids that turn up every year.
"We definitely don't get tired of doing it, because we know it brings a smile to people's faces and we help a good group every year with the donations.
"It's amazing that people come from so far away just to see it, but it shows that people still love as much as they did from the first day."
This year's recipients of the donations will be split between Netherthird Youth Club and Netherthird Early Childhood Centre.
East Ayrshire Community Hospital, Cumnock Age Concern and Netherthird Early Childcare Centre are just some of the other charities and good causes helped over the years.
Jackie added: "Netherthird is a small place, so it's always kind of easy to decide where to donate the money to, because we know that the money will always go to a great use.
"We just want to thank everyone who helped out with the display and everyone who came along and will support it again this year.
"It won't be our last year doing this."
