PLANS are in place to install six new speed bumps on an area of road close to a huge housing development in Sorn.
A notice from Ayrshire Roads Alliance (ARA), which maintains local roads on behalf of East Ayrshire Council, said the speed-calming measures will be placed along sections of Catrine Road.
These will be near to where plans have been approved for 28 houses to be built on vacant land in the village, despite multiple objections.

The planned speed bumps will aim to tackle traffic issues on this section.
Traffic concerns were among the key reasons for locals opposing the housing development being sited in the area.
Anyone against plans for the speed bumps to be installed can email enquiries@ayrshireroadsalliance.org by Friday, December 27.
More information can be found on the Ayrshire Roads Alliance website.
