A COMMUNITY group in Auchinleck held a successful open day as they look to capture the village's imagination.
Run by Auchinleck Community Development Initiative (ACDI), the event welcomed locals to head along and learn about the various activities and clubs run at the Boswell Centre, as well as hear about some of the other community groups in the area.
ACDI is eager to change people's apathetic feeling around Auchinleck, by hearing about what people want to see happen in the village.
The event allowed people to have their say about what they might like to see brought to Auchinleck.

Already in the centre, activities such as a job club, tiny tots, tae kwon-do and much more are held.
Shire Housing, Strings n Things, Sticky Fingers Club, ACDI Recovery, Knowe Garden and Release Ayrshire were just some of the groups present at the event to spread their own word.
ACDI development officer, Robert Madden, is passionate about changing the perception of Auchinleck, and making sure there is something for everyone in the community.
He said: "We're really trying to tackle this sort of feeling of apathy around Auchinleck.
"People in the area have become used to certain things, which isn't right.
"We want to know what people want to see in Auchinleck and what might get residents involved in things in the community."
Part of the group's plans include improving pathways in Auchinleck, and starting up a community clean-up group in the Spring time.
Volunteer roles are also available for youth club and activity leaders, as well as walk leaders.

A food larder has also been recently launched within the centre, thanks to vital funding.
This will be available on Tuesdays from 1pm -3pm and Thursdays from 1pm-3pm and 5pm-7pm.
Robert added: "These events are vital so that people can come and see what's happening in the centre, and we can here their views as well.
"We need to build on the momentum that these sort of things bring and make sure we're doing all we can.
"That's why we're aiming to hold events like this regularly, because we know people's ideas will change.
"We've secured a good bit of funding over the last wee while, which is excellent for us in being able to achieve what we want to do".
