A MUM from Auchinleck is bursting with pride after her superstar daughter was once again selected to perform in an upcoming pantomime.

Libby Graham's 10-year-old daughter, Codi Wallace was selected as one of just a handful of youngsters who will be performing as part of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

The show will take place in 'The Big Top' at the Ayrshire Athletics Arena, due to the ongoing makeover of the Palace Theatre in Kilmarnock.

Having been a born performer, Libby has no doubt that Codi will shine again this year.

"And she’s been successful with her freestyle stuff, but she loves to perform and she loves to be on stage.

“She was in it last year and she’s part of it again this year, which we’re all chuffed with and she’s so excited for it.

“She’s been rehearsing nonstop since November 4, and it’s been some long days included in that.

“Her passion and enthusiasm would leave a lot of adults standing, never mind somebody her age.

“It’s great for somebody her age to be able to go out of their comfort zone like that and meet new friends through this and just experience something different."

With a mixture of afternoon shows for schools, matinees and evening shows, Libby is keen to see as many of the shows as possible.

She added: “Codi is just so full of energy for it and she can’t wait. As soon as finished with last year’s performances she told me she was desperate to be part of this year again.

“These other kids almost become their family because they spend so long with them, but it’s great for her to have such enthusiasm for something like this.

“Her school has been amazing with her and we’re all so pleased because she has put in so much hard work.

“We’re going along for her first show, and then we’ll go on Christmas Eve and then we’ll go to her last show as well."

Tickets can still be bought for a selection of times and dates for the show on the East Ayrshire Leisure website.
