PEOPLE in Cumnock and the surrounding areas are being asked to be cautious after reports of 'fake' bank notes being used.
Cumnock Banking Hub has said that apparent counterfeit Bank of England £20 notes have been used in the local area.
The hub, currently located within Cumnock library, is warning people to remain vigilant when using notes.

The apparent fake notes look and feel real, although the serial numbers on the notes will begin with 'AD' or 'CD'.
Local businesses, as well as local shoppers are being asked to look out for the potentially damaging notes.
