THE cost to purchase a new home at a development near Barhill Road in Cumnock will be a maximum of £340,000.

Viga Developments Ltd was given approval for the development of 17 homes on a site next to the Bute House care home, just off Barrhill Road.

Plans for homes on this site have gone back as far as 2005, when Springfield Homes Ltd was granted permission for a development.

With work now underway for the new houses, prices for the three different styles of properties will range from £265,000-£340,000.

All three designs will be three bedrooms and two bathrooms, with parking spaces available on each.
