PEOPLE from across Cumnock and beyond gathered to pay their respects for Remembrance Sunday at the weekend.

The day stands to remember individuals who have served to protect our way of life since the First World War.

Members of the community join local organisations, veterans, and elected members in paying tribute on the closest Sunday to November 11.

The area's new provost, Claire Leitch, attended the ceremony in Cumnock, along with MP Elaine Stewart and local councillors.

(Image: Submitted) Other services took place on Sunday in Auchinleck, Benwhat, Catrine, Dalrymple, Dalmellington, Drongan, Lugar, Mauchline, Muirkirk, Ochiltree, Patna, Rankinston, Sorn and Stair.
