PLANNED footpath work that was set to close off a busy road in Auchinleck for more than 10 days has been postponed.
The Ayrshire Roads Alliance (ARA), which carries out road maintenance work on behalf of East Ayrshire Council, was due to be working close to Darnlaw View, from its junction with Barony Road.
The stretch of road heading over the railway bridge towards Mauchline Road is a busy section, especially for large goods vehicles and lorries.
A closure was set to be in place on the road from 9am on November 25 and remain in place until December 6 at 5pm.

However, an update from ARA confirmed that the planned work has now been pushed back, with no new date for the rescheduled work announced as of yet.
