A SECOND bungalow will be built next to a historic church in Muirkirk after approval was granted.
Planners passed proposals for a four-bedroom property on the site next to St Thomas the Apostle Church in Muirkirk last month.
Now the same applicant, Mr Naveen Teja Talluri, has been given permission to build another bungalow of the same design next door.

Permission was previously granted to build two properties on the site next to the church.
However, separate and updated plans were then resubmitted, with both being given planning approval.
The submission, to the planning department at East Ayrshire Council, will see another four-bedroom 1.5 storey bungalow be built.
Like its neighbouring property, the home will include a large dining/kitchen space, a living area and two en-suite bedrooms.
A design statement for the previous home said: "The application involves changes to an existing approval to accommodate changes in the brief to allow for an additional floor to the current approved plans for the site, so the client can have bedrooms in first floor similar to the area as a one-and-a-half story house.
"The brief is to design and build a new four bedroom detached home with two bedrooms in the ground floor and two bedrooms in the roof design.
"The design will be a high quality, modern, secure and energy efficient home which is open, spacious and an enjoyable living environment.
"The proposed house will be similar to the existing houses in the street nearby."
