EMERGENCY services responded to reports of "concerns for a person" in Mauchline last night, police say.
Locals spotted police and ambulance crews around the Beechgrove Road area, close to the football park just after 7pm on Monday evening (November 4).
Numerous police cars and vans were seen in the nearby streets.
Police Scotland has since confirmed the reason for this presence in the town.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7pm on Monday, November 4, 2024, we were called to a report of a concern for person in the Beechgrove Road area of Mauchline.
“Emergency services attended and a 40-year-old man was assessed by paramedics.”
