THE Hallowe'en spirit was in the Cumnock air this week, thanks to an inaugural fun run brought together by three local businesses.
TheWayForward2045, J's Fitness and The Unit Strength and Conditioning combined to create the 'RIP Race', which encouraged locals to dress up in their best outfits and run, walk or jog a 5km route through the town.
With support from East Ayrshire Council, as well as Shire Housing, Mossgiel Organic Farm and The Remix Bakery, more than 60 runners took part in the spooky race.
A handy bunch of volunteers were also on hand to ensure the event went smoothly, and everyone crossed the finishing line.
The team who pulled it together have refused to rule out making it an annual event.
