FURTHER Scottish Water work is set to take place in Mauchline this week, the company has confirmed.

Locals have reported more heavy delays through the town in the morning and afternoons this week, due to work being carried out.

Earlier this month, four-way lights had been in place at the cross between Earl Grey Street, Loudoun Street, Kilmarnock Road and High Street for sewer work to take place.

Now, Scottish Water has confirmed that current work taking place in Mauchline is for CCTV and jetvac activities to be carried out.

These works are set to last until Friday, November 1.

A Scottish Water spokesperson said: “Works are taking place at various manholes on the A76, Kilmarnock Road, Mauchline until Friday, November 1, to carry out CCTV and jetvac activities.

"Temporary traffic lights will be in place during these works. We’d like to thank road users for their patience while these vital works are being carried out.”
