A FORMER bank branch in Cumnock remains on the market, years after its closure.
The TSB branch on Townhead Street closed its doors back in 2021, when the company announced jobs and store cuts across Ayrshire and Scotland.
Since the closure, the building has lain empty, but remains a possible purchase for anyone in the property market.
The branch remains up for sale on the East Ayrshire Council property website, more than three years on from when it shut its doors.
Its closure sparked the continuation of a trend in Cumnock that started before TSB shut, and continued afterwards - the loss of the town's physical bank branches.
The Clydesdale Bank on The Square and the Royal Bank of Scotland on Glaisnock Street both closed prior to the TSB shop, with the nearby Bank of Scotland branch following suit earlier this year.
In their places, Cumnock now has a banking hub, which offers services form a number of high street banks.
It's currently located within Cumnock library, but is due to move to its new premises on Glaisnock Street soon.
