A DATE has been confirmed for when bridge repair work near Drongan is due to be carried out.
A section of the A70 at Coalhall was originally set to be closed earlier this month.
However, that work was cancelled due to ongoing repair work on Stair Bridge.
The Ayrshire Roads Alliance maintains council roads on behalf of East and South Ayrshire Councils.
A update on the company's website states that the work is now due to take place from Saturday, November 23 until Wednesday, November 27.
The closure will affect a section of the road either side of the railway bridge from 10pm until 6am each day.
Work is weather-dependant and emergency services access will not be affected.
A diversion route will be in place via the B730 through Drongan, the B7046 to Sinclairston, then via Skares Road and the A70 and vice versa.
More information can be found on the Ayrshire Roads Alliance website.
