A CHARITY memorial day in New Cumnock raised some vital funds for a local cause.

The special day, held in memory of Jack Grozier who sadly passed away in 2022, raised the money for men's mental health charity, Release.

Based in Auchinleck and founded by Robbie Muir, the charity provides confidential support and advice to those in the area struggling with their mental health.

A memorial day was held at New Cumnock bowling club in September, which raised well over £2,000 which will go towards supporting the charity's work across Ayrshire.

Paying thanks to the generous donation, the Release team said: "A huge thank you to the Grozier family for their generous donation of £2,604.20, given in memory of Jack Grozier from the Memorial Bowling Day that was organised to honour and remember him.

"Donations like this help us keep doing what we do, raising awareness, training our staff, and providing vital support to those who need it most.

"We’re so grateful to Jack’s family and friends for their support".
