A POPULAR pub and restaurant in Logan could be coming back to life.
Plans have been lodged to reinvigorate the once-popular Logangate Arms.
The submission on the East Ayrshire Council (EAC) planning pages is initially for the erection of a cooking extract flue.
The request has been submitted on behalf of Haveli Restaurant and does not include any initial plans to change the type of use of the building.
A firm favourite in the area, the Logangate closed back in 2022 10 years on from the Boyd family taking over the establishment.
Online documents include plans to remove the bar from the restaurant area and use it solely as an eating space.
It's also proposed that the public bar area will be changed into an extended restaurant/lounge area, with a reduction in the size of the bar.
The kitchen area is also set to be extended, according to the plans, with no major external alterations planned.
The plans were sent to East Ayrshire Council's planning department initially at the start of September.
According to the online listing, a decision on the plans is expected by the middle of December.
You can view the full plans on the EAC planning portal, searching for application 24/0422/PP.
