THE popular monthly markets at Dumfries House have been cancelled this weekend.
Organised by JSG Market Management for the third Sunday of every month, the markets draw in vendors from the local area and beyond.

However, there will be no attendees this weekend, as the decision has been made to call off this Sunday's markets due to the weather forecast.
A yellow weather warning has been issued by the Met Office for heavy wind this Sunday.
As a result, organisers have decided to pull the plug for safety reasons.

They said: "We’re really sorry to have to let you know that we have taken the reluctant decision to cancel The Market at Dumfries House this Sunday, October 20.
"We’ve been tracking the weather all week and hoped that the wind gust speeds would drop but they are actually increasing.
"The very high wind gust speeds currently forecast by the Met Office for Sunday are out-with our safe working limits for running the market on the site.
"Cancelling a market is something we try to avoid but the safety of our traders and the general public is always our priority.
"We have carefully considered our decision and are truly sorry to disappoint you all, but we know it’s the right thing to do.
"Again, sincere apologies for the cancellation."
