PLANS have been lodged to transform two buildings at a farm in East Ayrshire into residential care settings for youngsters.
A planning application was submitted to the council's planning team for the change of the buildings at Drumdow Farm near Stair.
Proposals would see a cottage close to the farm, and the farmhouse nearby remodelled into 24-hour care facilities.

If approved, it would see the farmhouse change from a four-bedroom home into a two-bedroom home with an office and study space and care for two children.
The cottage would change from a three-bedroom house into a one-bedroom building with a study room and care for one child.
No other major alterations are planned for either buildings.
The planning application adds: "It is considered that up to five residents living together in a household where care is provided is not a material change in the use class of the property.
"In this case, the residents will live as single households with 24-hour care provided on a rota basis by staff members who cannot be classed as ‘residents’.
"There would be no material change of use since the premises would remain as a dwelling house."
