A WARNING has been issued in New Cumnock after two youngsters were allegedly caught climbing on a building's scaffolding.
The former Trotters building on Castle is currently undergoing upgrade work to transform the vacant spot into a community hub.
Worth around £2.5m, the work will see the likes of a pop-up shop, café and work spaces created in the building.
As part of these plans, which are due to be completed by July 2025, the Trotters building is currently covered with scaffolding.

The New Cumnock Development Trust (NCDT), which has been the driving force in this transformation, sent out a warning against the dangers of climbing the scaffolding.
According to the NCDT, two youngsters were caught climbing the scaffolding in the early hours of the morning, with police arriving at the scene shortly after.
The warning said: "Early this morning at 1:11am, two youths were caught on our CCTV cameras climbing the scaffolding surrounding Trotters.
"Although the police arrived shortly after the alarm was triggered, the individuals had left by 1:30am.
"Entering or climbing the scaffolding is extremely dangerous and puts your safety at risk.
"Our CCTV system is active 24/7, and alarms will be triggered immediately if anyone tries to access the building. The police are automatically called out when the alarm is triggered.
"Could we please ask all parents and guardians to speak with their children about the dangers of entering construction sites or climbing scaffolding."
