ELECTRICITY issues in the area have been resolved following a power cut during the night, according to SP Energy Networks.
Locals had reported outages across large parts of the local area, including Mauchline, Catrine, Auchinleck and New Cumnock.
The issue apparently lasted from around 2am until 6am in some areas, with street lights also out, causing total darkness.

In the early hours of this morning, the SP Energy Networks website stated: "There is a power cut affecting the KA postcode area, covering a large area of Ayrshire.
"Our engineers are en-route to find and fix the fault as quickly and as safely as possible.
"We expect your electricity supply will be restored by 4.14am."
An update this morning (October 15) stated that power had now been fully restored, and electricity supplies should be back to normal.
