A WOMAN allegedly attacked her boyfriend in Auchinleck after 'pursuing' and 'repeatedly punching' him.
Paige Bassom pleaded not guilty to charges of domestic assault and threatening or abusive behaviour when she appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court last week, after an incident last month in Cameron Drive.
The 21-year-old is alleged to have pushed the man onto furniture before seizing hold of him by the hair and repeatedly punching him to the head on September 8 this year.
It is claimed that she also caused the alleged victim fear and alarm after shouting, swearing, and calling her partner names.
Court papers state Bassom then pursued him, caused him to lose grip of a mobile phone and struggled violently with police officers while they were exercising their duties.
The Crown's complaint states both charges are aggravated by involving alleged abuse of a partner or ex-partner.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the allegations through defence solicitor Colin McLaughlin.
Bail was granted for Bassom, of Woodhill Road, Altonhill, Kilmarnock, on the special condition that she does not contact or approach the complainer.
She will return to court to face the allegations again at a later date.
