AN UPDATE has been provided for work being carried out in Mauchline.
Scottish Water has ben carrying out repair work, meaning that four-way lights have been in place between Earl Grey Street, Loudoun Street, Kilmarnock Road and High Street.
Drivers have described the "nightmare" lights at the cross, with some people claiming they have waiting in traffic for up to an hour to travel through the town.

Work began on Monday, October 7, with Scottish Water saying it would finished by Tuesday, October 15.
An update has been provided by the company to say that work is currently on schedule and that the temporary lights should be removed by tonight (October 14).
This means that the lights should be gone by Tuesday morning.
