FIRE crews remain at the scene of a house fire in Drongan this morning (October 8).
Reports came in of a house fire in the Coyle Avenue area of the village just before 9am this morning.
Two fire appliances attended the scene, where the fire was extinguished, but crews remain in place.
One person was given oxygen, but did not need extensive treatment.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 8.45am on Tuesday, 8 October to reports of a house fire in Drongan, East Ayrshire.
"Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances to the town's Coyle Avenue, where firefighters extinguished the fire and remain working to make the area safe.
"One casualty was provided with oxygen therapy at the scene but did not require further medical treatment."
