A LODGE on the outskirts of Cumnock has been named in a guide of the world's top locations.
Dumfries House Lodge, part of the King's Foundation's estate, was included in the recent 2024 Michelin Hotel Guide, which celebrates the best hotels in the world.
Part of the 2,000 acre estate, the lodge dates back to the 18th century and served as the estate manager's home for more than 200 years.

Being named in the Michelin Hotel Guide means that the hotel has been judged excellent in five categories: architecture and interior design; quality and consistency of service; overall personality and character; value for price; and a significant contribution to the guest experience.
You can find out more about the lodge cottages and room, and book a stay online.
Well done to the lodge team!
