A POPULAR Mauchline venue is hosting the perfect evening for all the crime fanatics out there.

In partnership with Scotland's oldest murder mystery company, the Fairburn Hotel will be hosting 'The Christmas Crime'.

On the night of Friday, December 13, the Christmas-themed murder mystery will be held, with all ages invited along.

The event is expected to sell out fast, and tickets are now on sale.

They cost £45 for adults and £30 for children, and include entry and a three-course meal on the night.

A £10 deposit is required at the time of booking per ticket.
