RAIL bridge works are set to close a Mauchline road once again later this month.
The Ayrshire Roads Alliance (ARA), which carries out road maintenance work on behalf of East and South Ayrshire councils, will work on the bridge along the B743 road towards Ayr.
An emergency closure of this section of road for work to be carried out was announced last week, lasting for three night.
Now, original work which was due to close the road this month will also be carried out.
The road is set to be closed from 10pm on October 14 until 6am on October 15.
An alternative route for the duration of the closure is in place via B743 Ayr Road, B730 Montgomerie Street, B744, A76 Kilmarnock Road, B743 Loudon Street and vice versa.
A road closure is also set to be in place west of Failford, meaning drivers will be able to travel as far as the hamlet from 10pm on October 12 until 6am on October 13.
