DALMELLINGTON'S annual flower show was held recently in front of another big crowd.
The 53rd show took place at Dalmellington Community Centre, with some great talent on show.
Despite a damp summer, the show was a success again, thanks to exhibitors new and old, and the support of the local residents and businesses.
Councillor Jennifer Hogg opened the show and presented the prizes to the worthy winners.
Organisers had two new cups to present this year.
The C.E.I. trophy for the best pollinator-friendly exhibit was won by Piper Jackson.
A Dalmellington Care Centre Hector Memorial Trophy was also brought in this year.
Hector was a resident of the care centre and was a keen gardener.
The winner of this trophy was judged independently by a member of the Dalmellington Care Centre staff, who awarded it to Neil Sinclair for his plate of six tomatoes.
Well done to all involved!
