PLANNING approval has been granted for a takeaway in Netherthird - one year after it opened.
12 months on from when GT Munchies opened on Craigens Road, retrospective plans have been approved for the establishment.
The application states that the owner did not know that a "change of use" application had to be applied for when opening the eatery.
The shop had previously serves as a tanning parlour.
An application form adds that: "Very little changes to be made and only a few short stud walls to be removed.
"New plasterboard to the front room and tiling of the kitchen was all that it required along with a cooker hood/extractor to be fitted with ventilation pipes to the external wall."
The takeaway has become extremely popular with locals since it opened, with orders available for delivery as well.
Offering the likes of burgers, wraps and various chicken snacks, the place is open five days a week from 11am-9pm Wednesday until Sunday.
Despite the shop being open since last October, an objection was submitted against the retrospective plans due to the proximity of a Turkish kebab shop which is apparently due to open soon.
More information can be found on the GT's Munchies Facebook page.
