IT is now 24 years since Ballochmyle Hospital near Mauchline closed for good - but many happy memories remain for the staff who used to work there.

(Image: Contributed) These old shots of the team enjoying their time there were first sent to the Chronicle 15 years ago by staff at East Ayrshire Community Hospital, who used to work in the old building.

(Image: Contributed) At that time, the former hospital was being transformed into a multi-million pound luxury housing development.
