A CUMNOCK councillor has blasted the "unacceptable" ongoing vandalism towards the town's bus stands.
Only last week, Cumnock and New Cumnock councillor Neill Watts was contacted by residents about smashed panes of glass at the station.
Now, the local representative has again been contacted about panes of glass that have been completely smashed out of their spot.
As previously reported, issues of vandalism at the bus stands has been ongoing for years.
Windows at the bus stands have been targeted by vandals for well over three years, when we first reported the problem.
Since then, as many as 15 panels have been smashed at one time, leading to time, money and effort to replace the glass.
Police said they would be stepping up patrols in the area and had been investigating the circumstances of the issues.

The bus station was only reopened in 2020 after a major refurbishment, with dedicated CCTV linked directly to East Ayrshire Council's risk management centre installed at the station, in the hope of deterring any vandalism.
Cumnock Community Council (CCC) member, Michael McPake, has been demanding more action to stop this from happening so often, citing the fact that Cumnock Police Station is no more than 500 feet away.
Cllr Watts has continued to fight for more to be done.
He said: "After being contacted by concerned constituents last Saturday about the further escalation of damage at the Cumnock Bus Station, I contacted Ayrshire Roads Alliance to inform them of the completely damaged pane of glass which had been vandalised and was lying on the floor.
"I visited the site today to look at the new destruction caused by this mindless behaviour. Ayrshire Roads Alliance are now in the process of removing the pane and making the area safe.
"This escalation in damage is completely unacceptable, Ayrshire Roads Alliance have contacted Police Scotland Ayrshire and all steps will be taken to try and find the culprits.
"It is a disgrace when everyone is working hard to improve our town and a mindless element are wrecking improvements that have been made.
"Plans are currently being drawn up by officials in Ayrshire Roads Alliance to sort the bus station for the long term."
