THE body of a man in his forties was found in a river in Dalrymple yesterday.
A 44-year-old man was found in the water near Millbank Street in the village.
Police confirmed they do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances and the incident is due to be reported to the procurator fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.30pm on Monday, September 23, 2024 the body of a 44-year-old man was found within the water near to Millbank Street, Dalrymple.
"There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and next of kin have been made aware.
"A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
