A CUMNOCK arts group is on the lookout for the area's next star.
A branch of the group, targeted at youngsters, gives those in the area a chance to be a part of a growing team full of opportunities.
Cumnock Youth Musical Theatre (CYMT), which is part of the Cumnock Arts Makes People Smile (CAMPS) umbrella, has been built on its values of Collaboration, Yes to Life, Mutual, and Thriving.
CYMT aims to offer a dynamic and creative space where youngsters from the area can collaborate, thrive, and express themselves while taking on exciting roles both on and off the stage.
The CAMPS group recently rebranded to give more of an overall view about what is on offer within the group.
Overall, the group offers opportunities for everyone, from the ages of primary one, all the way through until later life, though the various themes.

CAMPS creative arts coordinator, Dale Parker, has worked tirelessly over the past few months to make the group what is it today, with views on growing it further in the future.
Speaking about the youth group, Dale said: "We want CYMT to be a space where young people not only showcase their talents but also have the freedom to discover who they are, explore their passions, and take charge of their artistic development.
"CYMT is a place for everyone—so come along, collaborate, thrive, and make magic happen".
CYMT offers a junior group for those in p1-3, an intermediate group for those in p4-7 and a senior group for those in s1-4.
They are now on the lookout for any keen youngsters to join the ranks.
Rehearsals have begun at the Cumnock’s Creative Arts Hub on Bank Avenue, and CYMT is looking for enthusiastic young participants eager to take the stage.
