THE charity Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland have organised an assault course fundraiser in Ayrshire.

The Merry Muck In will be held in Galston on Saturday, December 7, and teams and individuals from across Ayrshire are being invited to take part.

The Scottish Assault Course site is just off Newmilns Road, and it should should take approximately 40 to 60 minutes to complete. It is suitable for ages eight and over.

You can enter as a team of up to five participants each or as an individual.

(Image: Scottish Assault Courses) Participants can come dressed in Christmas attire, but they will get very mucky so shouldn’t wear anything they don’t want ruined.

The course features obstacles such as tunnels, 5ft and 10ft walls, monkey bars, Ninja Warrior rings, rope traverse, net climbs and plenty of mud and water challenges.

Although the courses are physically demanding and strength sapping, making you dig deep to finish, the emphasis is also on the fun.

The course instructors will take each group through the whole event - and if you do not want to do certain obstacles, they provide alternatives to get you to the finish line.

The instructors can also incorporate extra challenges along the way as well.

Those taking part should arrive by 9.30am for a 10am start. The event will run until 5pm (or until the last team has completed the course).

Minimum JustGiving sponsorship is £50 per person, and the CHSS entry fee is £10 per adult and £5 per child.
