PUPILS from Cumnock's Robert Burns Academy headed off on an expedition this month in a bid to gain their Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award.
It was the second expedition of the year for the pupils in their bid to gain the prestigious award.
As well as taking part in the expedition, the DoE students also have to carry out volunteer work in the community for six month to gain silver status.
There are also physical and skills sections to complete before the awards can be granted to students.
According to the Robert Burns Academy x (formerly Twitter) site, there was an "excellent effort from everyone involved".
