BRIDGE repair works due to take place near Drongan have now been rescheduled.
A section of the A70 at Coalhall was set to be closed while work took place on the rail bridge over the road between October 5-10.
However, it has now been confirmed that this date has been moved back due to overlap with other works ongoing in the area.
Due to repair works on the Stair Bridge, the route at Coalhill which was to be closed was being used as a diversion route.
As a result, a new date has been set for the road closure of the section of the A70, with work now expected to commence on November 23.
The closure will affect a section of the road either side of the railway bridge from 10pm until 6am each day.
A diversion route will be in place via the B730 through Drongan, the B7046 to Sinclairston, then via Skares Road and the A70 and vice versa.
