A BUSY road near Drongan is set to be closed for bridge repair work next month.
A section of the A70 at Coalhall will be shut off for work taking place on the rail bridge, with diversions set to be in place.
Work is due to take place between October 5 and 10.
The closure will affect a section of the road either side of the railway bridge from 10pm until 6am each day.
Work is weather-dependant and emergency services access will not be affected.
A diversion route will be in place via the B730 through Drongan, the B7046 to Sinclairston, then via Skares Road and the A70 and vice versa.
More information can be found on the Ayrshire Roads Alliance website.
These works have been rescheduled as this route is part of the diversion for the ongoing repair works on Stair Bridge.
