CUMNOCK Juniors' abandoned weekend league match against Pollok is set to be replayed, the club has announced.
With Cumnock leading 2-1 in the game at Townhead Park on Saturday (September 7), play was halted due to a medical emergency in the away end.
Thankfully, the travelling side confirmed that the supporter did not require hospital treatment and is recovering well.
Paying thanks to Cumnock, Pollok said: "We would like to place on record our thanks to our physio Ross Anderson, Cumnock’s physio Lynn, the assistant referee and everyone involved from both sides in supporting the gentlemen in question.
"It is greatly appreciated by the club and his family."
With the match entering its closing stages after Thomas Orr and Joe McKee's goals had put the home side ahead, the fixture was then abandoned.
Cumnock Juniors today announced the match is set to be replayed, with no date set for the rescheduled tie.
In a short statement, the club said: "This morning we were notified that the WOSFL Board have decided that our abandoned match from the weekend shall be replayed.
"The match was approaching injury time with us leading 2-1."
