Two by-elections will take place for East Ayrshire Council in November following the election of two Labour MPs.
Elaine Stewart and Lillian Jones were elected as MPs for Ayr, Carrick & Cumnock and Kilmarnock & Loudoun respectively following July's General Election.
The Ayrshire Labour overhaul followed the national trend, with the two new candiates replacing the outgoing SNP candidates.
Ms Stewart had been serving as councillor for Doon Valley, while Lillian Jones had been a Kilmarnock West and Crosshouse councillor.
Both have stepped down from these roles, leading to a by-election to find their replacements.
MPs are not barred from keeping their council seats, but are generally expected to step down.
The bye-election will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024.
Further details on voting and polling stations will be announced soon by East Ayrshire Council.
