Pupils and staff from the Robert Burns Academy (RBA) will once again take part in a huge Scottish charity event in memory of a school favourite.
The school has sent a team to take part in the Great Scottish Run for the last few years, in what has become an RBA tradition.
This year's run will take place on Sunday, October 6 in Glasgow.
Mr Bernard Shepherd, teacher at the school, came up with the idea of entering the yearly event, having battled through a range of fundraising events during his time.

This year, pupils and staff from the Cumnock school will aim to raise money for Ayrshire Cancer Support in honour of former school janitor, Chris Walker, who sadly passed away recently.
They're aiming to rack up £1,000 for the charity.
Previous charities support by the school at the Great Scottish Run have included Alzheimer Scotland and raising money for Mauchline's Ava Bolton.
They have also taken on the Roon the Toon 10k run in Kilmarnock and raised over £1,000, also for Ayrshire Cancer Support.
In a plea for support for this year's event, Mr Shepherd said: "Team Robert Burns Academy runners have again decided to take party in the Great Scottish Run 10k And Half Marathon, we are doing it to raise funds for Ayrshire Cancer Support our School nominated charity for this year.
"This charity work closely with RBA by offering a drop-in service every two weeks to give assistance and advice to all in the school and local community who are affected in any way by the impact of cancer within their family or friends.
"However more importantly is the fact that the school was impacted by the sudden passing of one of our favourite "Jannies" namely Big Chris, Shorty, Chris Walker.
"The students taking part in the event asked that we take part in his memory and we will display his name on the back of out T-Shirts during the run.
"We would like your support in this venture this year to remember Chris and the comfort given to Chris in his last days, we would have gladly supported this cause but had already committed to our nominated charity.
"Please do all you can to share this page and many thanks for your support".
