A man has been arrested and charged after a spate of vandalism in Mauchline, police have said.
A number of properties and vehicles had been targeted with spray paint earlier this month.
Walls, cars, vans and buildings on Burngrange Lane and Loch Road were hit around two weeks ago, with a number of other locations being targeted since then.
Locals have been crying out for something to be done, with many people saying they had to fork out cash to fix the problems at their own properties.
Now, police have announced a 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged.
A spokesperson said: "After a spate of vandalism in the Mauchline area, a 20 year old male has been arrested and charged for a number of offences.
"He will appear at court on a later date."
