Ayrshire: Stair bridge closed between Drongan and Tarbolton

Stair Bridge on the B730 has been shut off until repair works are carried out on the bridge.

The narrow bridge, which has become a problem area for drivers over the years, will remain closed until further notice.

Alternative routes are accessible via Annbank, Mossblown and Mauchline.

The Ayrshire Roads Alliance, which maintains roads in the area on behalf of East and South Ayrshire Council said: "Following an RTA, Stair Bridge will be closed until repair works are carried out.

"A signed diversion will be in place for the duration of the closure."
