ROADS bosses have announced details of planned roadworks for this coming week in East and South Ayrshire.

Ayrshire Roads Alliance (ARA) carries out road management work on behalf of East and South Ayrshire Council.

Starting on Monday, August 26, ARA is undertaking key works across the region, including in Mauchline, Dalrymple, Girvan and Ayr.

Here's a list of each East and South restriction:

East Ayrshire

Oxenshaw Bridge on the U744, Mauchline will be closed all week for parapet repairs.

The Portland Street area of Dalrymple will have give and take traffic control in place for road lighting replacement work all week from 8am to 4pm each day.

Lovedale Crescent area in Muirkirk will also have give and take traffic control in place for road lighting replacement work from 8am to 4pm each day all week.

Hawburn Bridge, east of Muirkirk will have Portable Traffic Lights all week from Monday for 24 hours a day.

Elgin Avenue and Kingussie Avenue in Stewarton will have road closure in place from Monday to Friday 8am-5pm.

Barrmill Road and Maxwood Road in Galston will also have a road closure in place Monday to Friday 8am-5pm.

 

South Ayrshire

Victoria Bridge on Station Road in Ayr will have a lane closure for bridge painting and concrete repairs at all times for the full week.

Belmont, Morton Road, Morton Avenue, Chalmers Avenue and Meadowpark in Ayr will have give and take traffic control in place for the full week between 8am and 5pm.

Hicks Avenue in Maybole will be closed all week from 9am-4pm.
